SMBI Local's Acknowledgement of Country...
We acknowledge the Quandamooka People as the Traditional Custodians of Quandamooka Country, including Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), South Stradbroke Island, Mulgumpin (Moreton Island), the South Moreton Bay Islands, and the surrounding lands, waters and waterways.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their enduring cultural, spiritual and custodial connection to Country.
As an organisation committed to community, place and future generations, we acknowledge our shared responsibility to care for, protect and preserve these lands and waterways, and we endeavour to act with respect for the Traditional knowledge, values and stewardship that have sustained this Country for tens of thousands of years.
